The 500km classic certainly provided an epic race this year… Whincup made decisive moves on Erebus driver Jack Perkins in the race's early phases, securing a crucial advantage on both sides of the first pit stops. Feeny then looked destined for an easy win, but a late restart meant the young gun had to hold off Kostecki to secure victory. Will Brown’s error at the end of the back straight meant van Gisbergen and Richie Stanaway secured third spot, clinching two places for Red Bull on the podium.
