Biante Model Cars are incredibly pleased to present the 1:18 Holden ZB Commodore V8 Supercar of Triple Eight Race Engineering’s Red Bull Ampol Racing. The exclusive replica model as raced by Jamie Whincup in the 2021 V8 Supercars Championship season-opening Race 1 of the Repco Mount Panorama 500.
For the first time since 1998, the opening race round at Adelaide was replaced with a two-race sprint at the home of Bathurst, Mount Panorama (the first time since 1996) after the Bathurst 12-hour endurance race was cancelled. It was also the first time that the Holden’s would race without factory support, after General Motors retired the Holden name at the end of 2020.
Whincup worked his way through numerous safety cars and battled hard all weekend against the ZB’s of Mostert and Winterbottom and the DJR and Tickford Mustangs all weekend to finish 7th and 6th respectively. In what would eventually become Whincup’s last season as a full-time V8 Supercar driver, he proved that he is truly one of the best drivers in history and would finish runner-up to eventual Champion, and team-mate Van Gisbergen to make a fantastic year all round for the Triple Eight Red Bull team!
Produced in diecast with fully opening parts, the 1:18 ZB V8 Supercars are exquisitely crafted collectables with fine detail, high quality, and perfectly replicated decals. They will be produced to order and as with all Biante 1:18 scale limited edition models, these items will come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and premium box packaging.
