Produced in diecast with fully opening parts, the 1:18 ZB V8 Supercar is an exquisitely crafted collectable with fine detail, high quality and perfectly replicated decals. Meticulously manufactured, this exclusive replica is presented in Premium GOLD-detailed Packaging along with a numbered gold-detailed Certificate of Authenticity. This special Bathurst winner also includes a scaled replica of the Peter Brock trophy, the Bathurst News Poster, and the very special red Holden Lion flag!
Due to the pandemic, the Great Race at Bathurst had to be the final round of the 2020 V8 Championship season for the first time in 20 years. It was the last ‘factory-backed Holden team’ race, a momentous occasion after over 50 years of Holden factory support in Australian Sport Racing. To thank the millions of loyal red-blooded Holden fans, a special livery for the Triple Eight Race Engineering Commodores made a striking and respectful acknowledgement of so many memories from Mount Panorama.
Joining the New Zealander van Gisbergen, was three-time Bathurst winner Garth Tander. After this duo finished second in 2019, they were determined to take top spot. Starting second on the grid, van Gisbergen played himself into the race after some rain and thanks to a brilliant afternoon stint from co-driver Tander, the 97 car was in great position half-way through the 161-lap race.
Thanks to two separate incidents, the safety car came out twice in the last 10 laps and a pair of late-race restarts made for a riveting ending to the Great Race – as van Gisbergen was able to fend off a pack of rampaging Mustangs and Commodores to take his maiden Bathurst victory and the last for a Holden-backed team! As always, the best endings are unscripted and van Gisbergen capped off this special event by “borrowing” a passionate fan’s red Holden flag to send the Holden Lion off in perfect Bathurst style!
